Whether or not it’s writing songs for Lee Fields album, touring with the Dap-Kings, or playing at the Ed Sullivan Theatre with Jon Batiste for the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Trumpeter Chris Davis remains one of the most exciting (and busy!) musicians on the Canadian jazz scene.
Originally born in Louisiana with deep roots in Northeastern Florida, Chris was an integral member of the Vancouver Jazz community for over 20 years, and now lives in New York. For his return to the Painted Ship, he’s proud to present the Chris Davis Concern:
