Jillian Lebeck is an acclaimed Vancouver pianist, recording artist, composer and educator whose playing is celebrated for its depth, imagination and unmistakable musical voice.
With a career spanning jazz, contemporary music and performance, Jillian brings together technical mastery and a deeply personal sense of storytelling. As a performer, she is equally at home in intimate settings and on major stages, creating music that is sophisticated yet emotionally immediate. Her trio performances are marked by an adventurous interplay between musicians, leaving room for spontaneity, lyrical expression and the unexpected.
For this concert, Jillian is joined by two exceptional musicians – Dan Howard on bass and Bernie Arai on drums for an evening of music that moves freely between composition and improvisation—rooted in jazz, but shaped by a lifetime of listening, playing and creating.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday night at Frankie’s Jazz Club, from 11PM-1215AM. It’s presented by Infidels Jazz and only costs $10 at the door!
