Valérie Lacombe (she/her) is a jazz drummer based in Montreal. She has toured throughout Canada with The Ostara Project, Quinn Bachand’s Brishen and the Sam Kirmayer Quartet. Valerie has performed at NPR Tiny Desk, SXSW, CBC First Play, the Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal International Jazz Festivals, and more. She is featured on Bird Call (2022), an independent release with saxophonist Claire Devlin, Movin’ Up (2021), with Jihye Im and Marshal Herridge and Laura Anglade’s debut I’ve Got Just About Everything (Justin Time 2019). Valérie is currently completing a Master’s degree in jazz performance at McGill University.
For this special After Dark performance, she’ll be joined by Juno nominees Amanda Tosoff on piano & Jodi Proznick on bass.
