Greetings valued concert goers! Unfortunately due to health concerns Surprise Chef will no longer be able to perform in Vancouver tonight. We are gutted, but their health comes first and we wish them a speedy recovery!

Derya Yildirim & Grup şimşek will still perform tonight for their first ever Canadian performance. The incomparable Peregrine Falls (Gord Grdina + Kenton Loewen) will also be filling in as direct support for Derya with DJ Tony P holding down the decks with all vinyl DJ sets. The show must go on!

Our hope is that you will still join us tonight in support of live music along with our efforts to bring global and culturally diverse programming to the city of Vancouver. Limited tickets are still available online and at the door.

Statement from Surprise Chef: We’re deeply disappointed to report that we’ve had to pull out of our shows in Vancouver tonight and Bellingham tomorrow. Jethro has hurt his back, and is currently unable to perform. With some rest and recuperation, we’re confident he’ll be able to perform at Pickathon in Oregon this weekend. To the crew coming out to Vancouver, our mates Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, will still be holding it down. Don’t miss them!
