Seraphina Crema Black is a musician and composer from Vancouver who studies vocal jazz and philosophy at McGill University. She has a strong musical theatre and drama background with 10 years of experience. Seraphina enjoys playing classical piano and has completed her Grade 7 Royal Conservatory of Music exam. She is very grateful to have had the opportunity to study with Ranee Lee, Jean-Michel Pilc, and Dan Reynolds. She has also participated in workshops with jazz legend, Charles Tolliver, and prolific gospel composer and arranger, Karen Burke. She enjoys exploring various genres such as Jazz, Latin, Country, R&B, Musical Theatre, and Soul.
For her Frankie’s debut she’ll be joined by Lennox Wong-Chor on Drums, Emmet Murray on Bass, and Francis Reyes on piano.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
