Max Huberdeau is a Vancouver-based jazz pianist, drummer and composer. He has performed extensively around western Canada with a variety of artists, including many of Vancouver’s finest jazz musicians. His playing and writing takes particular inspiration from soulful and lyrical pianists such as Keith Jarrett and Aaron Parks.
He is excited to bring to Frankie’s a program of intriguing original compositions (some of which can be heard on an upcoming trio record) and canny arrangements of classic jazz repertoire. He is honored to be joined by a top-slot entourage of local talents: Arvind Ramdas on drums, Atley King on vibraphone, and David Caballero on bass.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
