British – Canadian saxophonist Len Aruliah plays in the UK with the Hackney Colliery Band and the British European Jazz Ensemble, and plays in London and Vancouver with his own groups. Influenced by Canadian giants Kenny Wheeler and Hugh Fraser, he has developed a distinctive voice as a composer, with music that features memorable, lyrical melodies and counterpoint, a wide range of grooves and rhythmic styles, and a rich harmonic palette.
