American Bassist Kelsey Mines and flutist Elsa Nilsson met in 2023 and found instant chemistry both artistically and in their friendship. They come together for three nights in the Pacific Northwest, merging their like-minded proclivity for socially engaged music with a hard charging pulse and deep seated melodies. Joining them is John Hansen on the piano and Machado Mijiga on the drums.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
