Kayla Price Trio at Frankie’s After Dark
November 7 @ 11:00 PM - 12:15 AM
$10
Kayla Price is an emotionally evocative vocalist & multi-instrumentalist based in Metro Vancouver. She takes pride in her hard bop, swing, fusion, and free jazz influences, using music and improvising as a crucial means of self expression.
A student in Capilano University’s Jazz Studies program, they have shared the stage with stellar singers such as Jennifer Scott, Dawn Pemberton, and Laila Biali. She’s kept busy this past summer, performing in both the Vancouver and White Rock Jazz Festivals on saxophone and voice respectively, and she sang with her vocal jazz ensemble Quartal Voices at the Fort Langley Jazz Festival back in July. Kayla is thrilled to be returning to Frankie’s alongside guitarist Nolan Crooks and bassist Bella Fedrigo, bringing her unique arrangements as well as some brand new compositions to the stage.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday night at Frankie’s Jazz Club, from 11PM-1215AM. It’s presented by Infidels Jazz and only costs $10 at the door!
