Visionary percussionist, vocalist, and composer Kahil El’Zabar has been at the forefront of creative music and Jazz for over five decades. On February 24, 2025 this legend will be bringing his Ethnic Heritage Ensemble to the Pearl in Vancouver, as part of Heart & Soul, a record-breaking tour celebrating Black History Month.

This group has been an integral part of the fabric of Black American Music for decades, and is celebrating the 51st Anniversary of it’s first Black History Month Tour. Vancouver is thrilled to welcome Dr. El’Zabar back, after memorable performances in 2024 at the Chan Centre, and with David Murray at Pyatt Hall. For this special performance Kahil will be joined by Corey Wilkes on trumpet & Kevin Nabors on tenor saxophone.
