Kahil El’Zabar has been at the forefront of American creative music and jazz for over five decade in his roles as visionary percussionist, vocalist, and composer. On February 6th, 2025, this legend will be bringing his Ethnic Heritage Ensemble to the Revue Stage in Vancouver as part of Let The Spirit Out, a record-breaking tour celebrating Black History Month. This group has been an integral part of the fabric of Black American Music for over half a century and is celebrating the 53rd anniversary of its first Black History Month Tour. For this special performance at the Revue Stage, El’Zabar will be joined by Corey Wilkes on Trumpet and Alex Harding on baritone saxophone. Vancouver is pleased to welcome El’Zabar back after his recent sold-out performances with David Murray & Isaiah Collier.
