On April 05, two of Vancouver’s finest trumpeters pay tribute to Woody Shaw & Freddie Hubbard, specifically to two classic albums the pair recorded for the Blue Note label in 1985 and 1986.

Freddie Hubbard & Woody Shaw recorded Double Take for the Blue Note label 40 years ago this year, soon to be followed by The Eternal Triangle. Since then, these records have captured the imagination of trumpet lovers worldwide, and have influenced entire generations of Jazz lovers. Feven Kidane & Julian Borkowski are among the many trumpeters inspired by Woody & Freddie, and will be co-leading a band of Vancouver’s best at Pyatt Hall on April 05, to showcase their love and respect for this timeless music.
