Infidels Jazz is proud to continue our new bi-weekly Jazz jam session which will take place Hero’s Welcome at 3917 Main Street, two Sundays a month at 2PM.
David Sikula is the perfect musician to host the house band in June, knowns for his work with his own Quartet and the Nightcrawlers. Joining him in June will be some of the city’s finest bassists and drummers, including David Caballero, Dan Howard, and Arvind Ramdas.
These will be open jam sessions, which means that everybody from professionals to high school students will be welcome. Helping us in making sure that the jam is accessible to those younger members of our community will be the Fraser MacPherson Jazz Fund, who has signed on as a sponsor of the Jams. If you’re under the age of 19, just make sure you have a guardian of legal age with you. You can use the instruments of the house band, but please be respectful of them.
On June 16, David will be joined by Daniel Howard on bass and Arvind Ramdas on drums.
Sundays at Hero’s Welcome (3917 Main Street) is a bi-weekly jazz series presented by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. The concept is to provide an affordable way for jazz lovers of all ages to gather and celebrate this music we love.
Admission for the jam sessions are only $5. Please note the new time of 2PM
