Mary Ancheta’s MAQkestra & Electric Miles team up for the first time to pay tribute to two icons of the 70s: Betty Davis & Miles Davis!

Betty Davis was one of the most important voices of 1970’s funk….a flamboyant pop diva a full decade before there was such a thing, with a discography full of sexually aggressive and incredibly funky tunes that weren’t hits, but should have been.

She’s long been an influence on Vancouver based keyboardist, producer, and all-around phenom Mary Ancheta, which has led Mary to this special night at the Fox Cabaret full of Davis’ most loved tunes, as well as some deep cuts.

In addition, Vancouver’s long running Miles Davis tribute group Electric Miles will perform an opening set from Miles Davis’ incendiary “electric” period from the late 1960’s & 1970’s.
