
Emilio Suarez is a multi-instrumentalist living in Vancouver, BC. He studied jazz bass along with classical cello at Capilano University and graduated with a degree in Jazz Studies – composition/ performance in 2020.
Since then, he has had a fulfilling and diverse career as a recording artist for film and video games, as well as gained experience in cruise ship work, wedding events, while being one of Vancouver’s frequently requested bass players at venues like Frankie’s Jazz club, Tyrant Studios, and 2nd floor Gastown. He released his first EP in 2024 entitled Stella Luna.
Emilio’s depth and variety of experience in Jazz and classical has led him to branch out and explore music that demonstrates his unique talent and acquired taste through years of performing in a multitude of musical settings from jazz to classical. He Is joined by Arvind Ramdas on drums and Alvin Brendan on guitar.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
