Dan Gaucher’s Strange Worlds crafts melodic, rhythmically nuanced soundscapes that reflect the here and now while attempting to envision alternate futures.
An amalgam of Jazz and Rock influences mix the create a grounded journey through earthy grooves and ethereal sonic textures.
For Alvaro Rojas (guitar), James Meger (bass) and Dan Gaucher (drums) familiar melodies and ancient instincts orbit the thrilling unknown.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
