A pillar of the Canadian avant-garde scene with some of Vancouver’s finest musicians.

Bassist Clyde Reed is one of the founding members of the NOW Orchestra and has performed with Barry Guy, Leo Smith, George Lewis, Bobby Bradford, Vinny Golia, Rich Halley, Peter Brotzmann, and many leading Canadian musicians. He has performed at the Vancouver Jazz Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz Festival, Chicago Jazz Festival, Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville, Penofin Jazz Festival (California), Bumbershoot Festival (Seattle), Earshot Jazz Festival (Seattle), Berlin Jazz Festival and the Lisbon Jazz Festival. For this very special edition of the New Thing series, he’ll be joined by long-time musical colleagues Jared Burrows on guitar, Brian Horswill on piano, and Kenton Loewen on drums.
