For his first Hero’s Welcome show, pianist and composer Chris Gestrin is joined by some of Vancouver’s most decorated Jazz musicians: James Danderfer on sax, Jodi Proznick on bass, and Jesse Cahill on drums.
Sundays at Hero’s Welcome (3917 Main Street) is a bi-weekly jazz series presented by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. The concept is to provide an affordable way for jazz lovers of all ages to gather and celebrate this music we love.
The inspiration for this series comes from the long-running and much-missed Jazz at the Pat Saturday series curated by Roderick MacDonald & then Sharon Minemoto.
