Brittany Anjou is a New York based pianist & composer, and has toured and recorded with Jeremy Pelt, The Shaggs, Elysian Fields, Sophie Auster, SAADI, and many others, and is looking forward to performing in Vancouver for only the second time.
Moon Mode is dedicated to performing works by womxn and non-binary composers, using telematic rehearsals, live shows, and virtual streaming concerts led by NYC based pianist Brittany Anjou. The project draws repertoire from Terri Lyne Carrington’s New Standards book, as well as original transcriptions and compositions by Brittany Anjou and the Moon Mode cohort. Moon Mode at Frankie’s After Dark features bassist Kelsey Mines and drummer Matt Jorgensen, including new music from Anjou’s hardcore punk project Bi TYRANT.

Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
