Benjamin Sigerson (b. 2001) is a composer, jazz pianist, and bassist from Vancouver, B.C. A recipient of a Bachelor’s in Music Composition from McGill University in Montréal, having studied with Brian Chereny and Christine Jensen, Sigerson has won several awards for his compositions in both classical and jazz idioms and his pieces have been performed internationally on concert stages, jazz clubs, and in recording studios. As an instrumentalist, Sigerson has played in jazz clubs and studios across Vancouver and Montreal, sharing the stage with greats such as Cory Weeds, Kevin Dean, Ira Coleman, and Jim Doxas, and is frequently a player in the Vancouver Jazz Orchestra.
