Maxwell Holmes Trio at Frankie’s After Dark
July 24 @ 11:00 PM - 12:15 AM
$10

Maxwell Holmes is a New York-based pianist and composer.
Originally from Vancouver, Maxwell has been playing piano since the age of five and working professionally as a musician since the age of ten. Since moving to New York in the summer of 2024, he has worked and studied with esteemed artists including Ingrid and Christine Jensen, Joel Ross, Immanuel Wilkins, Gene Perla, Bobby Sanabria, Andrew Cyrille, and NEA Jazz Master Reggie Workman, among many others. Maxwell has cultivated a reputation as a reliable sideman and leader with an eye on the future and an aspiration to keep the joy and freedom of swing alive.
Following in the spirit of pianists such as Wynton Kelly, Bud Powell, and Tommy Flanagan, Maxwell is thrilled to be bringing his trio to Frankie’s for the first time as a leader to explore the music of his heroes as well as his own compositions. He is joined by two of his long-time collaborators and dearest friends, Jack Colbourne on drums and Allison Lee on bass.
Frankie’s Jazz is presented by Infidels Jazz, and takes place every Friday and Saturday night from 11PM-1215AM. Admission is $10, which is added to your bill at the end of the night.
