Bassist Christian McBride’s resume reads like a literal history of Jazz, and includes recordings and performances with legends and icons like Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Diana Krall, Chick Corea, Roy Haynes, Pat Metheny, Joe Henderson, and so many more.

On May 27 McBride finally returns to Vancouver for his first show here in over 12 years. He’ll be playing the Centre for the Performing Arts, and will be joined by his new band Ursa Major, featuring some of the music’s top young heavy hitters: Nicole Glover, Ely Perlman, Michael King and Savannah Harris.
