Josh Warren / Ingrid Li 4tet at Frankie’s After Dark
August 1 @ 11:00 PM - 12:00 AM
$10

Rooted in the jazz tradition but drawing influences from pop, soul, rock, hip-hop and beyond, Josh Warren is a Victoria-born bassist, composer and arranger currently finishing his bachelor’s degree in music at Humber College (Toronto, ON). At only 21 years old, Josh has been featured on stages across Canada and had the opportunity to share the stage and record with internationally recognized talents, including JUNO award-winners such as trumpeter Ingrid Jensen and saxophonist Allison Au, and NYC heavyweights such as vocalist Lucy Yeghiazaryan and saxophonist Grant Stewart.
Ingrid Li is a Vancouver-born saxophonist, composer, and arranger turning heads on the Canadian jazz scene. Currently attending Montreal’s Schulich School of Music, her warm, powerful alto sound fuels her bop-driven music. At only 19 years old, she enjoys working as a bandleader and sidewoman across Canada. Ingrid owes it to her wonderful mentors Camille Thurman, Remi Bolduc, and James Danderfer.
Ingrid and Josh are thrilled to be joining forces on August 1st at Frankie’s After Dark. They will share a fiery set of pocketed groove and hard-hitting swing originals featuring incredible players Karl DeJong on drums and Ben Sigerson on piano.
Frankie’s After Dark is a late night series at Vancouver’s Premier Jazz Club taking place every Friday & Saturday night, and presented and curated by Infidels Jazz. All shows go from 11PM-1215AM and are $10.
