Pianist Josh Krushel is filled with conviction and a deep devotion to the idiom attempting to illustrate the great convocational power of this music through melodic line. Joining him on this occasion are two of Vancover’s top musicians, Arvind Ramdas (Drums) and Dan Howard (Bass). Influenced by the evolution of the Black American musical tradition, this trio will present a range of creative music. This exploration will be of Krushels own originals as well as selections from two of the most influential innovators of the piano trio sound; Cedar Walton and Benny Green.

Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
