NRF is a trio consisting of three rising talents in the Vancouver music scene. John Nicholson, Kevin Romain, and Chris Fraser come together to perform standard tunes with a melodic focus.

John Nicholson is a saxophonist from Vancouver. After graduating from Capilano University’s jazz program, John spent nearly five years in Toronto, where he obtained a Masters degree in jazz performance from the University of Toronto and worked with many of the cities top musicians of all kinds, including as a featured soloist during Hugh Jackman’s Toronto show in 2019. He returned to Vancouver during the lockdowns of 2020 and performs regularly around the city.
