Chicago Jazz legend Kahil El’Zabar has been performing all over the world for over 50 years with luminaries such as Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Dizzy Gillespie, Anthony Braxton and many more. He is a true icon of spritual and free Jazz. On June 30, this percussionist, vocalist and composer will be performing two rare concerts with one of the most dynamic up and coming saxophonists in Jazz: Isaiah Collier. In a relatively short period of time, Collier has performed with people like William Parker, Chance the Rapper, and William Hooker, and released several critically acclaimed album with his band, the Chosen Few.
For one night only, they will be performing two concerts together at the Zameen Art House, an intimate performance space on Granville Island, as part of an Infidels Jazz Showcase taking place during the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
These two performance are presented by Infidels Jazz.
