Patrick Kao Trio at Frankie’s After Dark

Vancouver-based Taiwanese jazz guitarist Patrick Kao interprets the music of jazz grandmaster pianists Barry Harris, Wynton Kelly, and Bud Powell for a night of soulful swing music. The soft sound of the guitar adds a subtle intimacy to these pianistic arrangements without sacrificing the excitingly moving energetic swing.
For this special After Dark performance he’ll be joined by Dan Howard on bass and Arvind Ramdas on drums.
Frankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
