SUMMARY:Brass Camel with Chopping Spree and Bleako's Nuclear Disco
DESCRIPTION:Brass Camel turns it up to celebrate the release of their third album – featuring face-melters Chopping Spree and Bleako’s Nuclear Disco.\n\n\nGet Tickets\n\n\nMinotaur Music & The Infidels Jazz present Brass Camel Album Release Party/Tour Launch\nwith guests\, Chopping Spree and Bleako’s Nuclear Disco\nSaturday 25\, April\, 2026\nThe Rickshaw Theatre\n19+\nDoors: 7:00pm\nBrass Camel\nVancouver’s Brass Camel is a rock band that defies labels\, fusing deep-pocket funk\, face-melting prog\, and massive-harmony art rock. Their musicianship and work ethic have earned endorsements from Sabian\, Rotosound UK\, and Vater\, and since releasing their debut album Brass in 2022 they’ve played over 150 shows\, including four national Canadian tours\, major festivals (Between the Peaks\, Starbelly Jam\, Wapiti)\, and stages like Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom\, Vogue Theatre\, and a Toronto headliner at the historic Longboat Hall. In 2024\, their cover of Sabrina Carpenter’s Please Please Please on Musora’s Covers Challenge took off on YouTube\, drawing over 700\,000 views. Their sophomore album Camel (spring 2024) brought international press\, reaction videos\, and steady LP sales. While touring in 2025\, the band recorded their third LP at Uxbridge’s pastoral Chalet Studio with Kevin Comeau of Crown Lands co-producing. Mixed by the legendary Terry Brown (Rush\, Hendrix\, The Who\, Blue Rodeo)\, the upcoming spring 2026 release marks a bold leap in songwriting\, distilling Brass Camel’s road-forged sound into something entirely their own. \nwww.brasscamel.ca \nChopping Spree\nChopping Spree is a jazz fusion/experimental band that delves into the groovy\, energetic world of jazz rock. They blend elements of Japanese jazz\, funk\, and psychedelia\, with the explosive energy of Vancouver’s underground hard rock scene. Sometimes smooth jazz\, sometimes metal\, Chopping Spree is a sight to see with their wild stage presence and captivating riffs. Taking influence from the likes of Casiopea\, SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS\, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard\, their unique style creates a soundscape of hypnotic proportions. \nchoppingspree.ca \nBleako’s Nuclear Disco\nIn their own words: “We live to create. We live to share our experiences on this earth with others. We strive to create immersive\, thought out\, personal music. Music that makes us dream. Music that carries us far beyond the trivialities of our everyday. We long for the next exhilarating journey to the unknowable ends of our creative process. We cannot think of anything else.” \nwww.nucleardisco.com \nRSVP on Facebook\nRefund Policy\nNo refunds\, unless event is cancelled. No exchanges. \nFor full listings visit www.rickshawtheatre.com

SUMMARY:TangoMundo at Moberly Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:Australian Tango Ensemble performs the music of Astor Piazzolla \nGet Tickets\n\n\n\n\nOn May 03\, Australian Tango virtuosos TangoMundo celebrate the release of their new album by performing Astor Piazzolla’s music at the Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre in Vancouver. \nTangoMundo brings to the stage Piazzolla repertoire rarely heard internationally\, drawing from across his restless\, rule-breaking career. This is Buenos Aires after dark: gritty\, volatile\, and electrically alive. The new arrangements on Piazzolla Unleashed are crafted especially for TangoMundo by Argentine tango scholar and composer Guillermo Anad (Académico Correspondiente\, National Academy of Tango\, Buenos Aires)\, who also performs on viola. He is joined by Australian cabaret powerhouse Faye Bendrups (piano and voice) and acclaimed new-Canadian accordionist Anthony Schulz\, forming a trio that delivers Piazzolla’s music with grit\, elegance\, and ferocious heart. \nPiazzolla Unleashed is not nostalgia. It’s the music that changed Tango forever. \nTangoMundo \nMoberly Arts & Cultural Centre 7646 Prince Edwards Street\, Vancouver \nMay 03\, 2026 \n7PM \n$25 in advance\, $35 at the door
