SUMMARY:Open Jazz Jam with host Chris Fraser at Hero's Welcome
DESCRIPTION:Infidels Jazz is proud to resume our monthly Jazz jam session which will take place Hero’s Welcome at 3917 Main Street\, one Sunday a month at 2PM. In April it will be will be held on April 20 16th and hosted by guitarist Chris Fraser\, featuring David Caballero on bass\, and Todd Stewart on drums.\nThese will be open Jazz jam sessions\, which means that everybody from professionals to high school students will be welcome. If you’re under the age of 19\, just make sure you have a guardian of legal age with you. You can use the instruments of the house band\, but please be respectful of them.\nSundays at Hero’s Welcome (3917 Main Street) is a monthly jazz series presented by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. The concept is to provide an affordable way for jazz lovers of all ages to gather and celebrate this music we love.\nAdmission for the jam sessions is FREE. Please note the special time of 1:30 PM.

SUMMARY:Jazz Feeds Vancouver Jam Session at the Lido
DESCRIPTION:Infidels Jazz is proud to announce our third annual jam session to benefit the Greater Vancouver Food Bank\, with all proceeds going to them as part of Jazz Feeds Vancouver.\n\nThis will be a rare opportunity for all of Vancouver’s jazz instrumentalists to come together for three worthy causes: to play\, to celebrate the holiday season\, and to raise money for those less fortunate.\n\nThe night will be very similar to last year’s jam\, with two different jam sessions happening on the same night. The first one is a straight ahead jam hosted by the Matt Franceschini Quartet featuring Julian Borkowski\, Bella Fedrigo & Karl DeJong\, and the second is a free improv jam hosted by Improv Karoake: Andrea Wong\, Mike WT Allen\, Bahar Khazei\, and Aiden Edwards.\n\nDonations will be collected through the night (cash\, debit\, and credit cards accepted)\, and all given to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank the next day. This event is co-sponsored by my friends at the Fraser MacPherson Jazz Fund.\n\nInfidels Jazz is a live event company that presents almost 200 jazz concerts every year.
