DESCRIPTION:Spencer Drody is a Vancouver-based trumpeter with a deep love for jazz and small ensemble playing. \n\nAlongside performing\, he has a strong interest in transcribing and arranging for small groups. He’s been an active part of the local scene through his work with the Jimi James Sextet and the Arvind Ramdas Quintet. Listeners can expect an evening of straight-ahead\, swinging music.\n\nHe’ll be joined by his good friends Arvind Ramdas on drums\, Patrick Kao on guitar\, and Dan Howard on bass—three active and accomplished members of Vancouver’s jazz community.\n\nFrankie’s Jazz is presented by Infidels Jazz\, and takes place every Friday and Saturday night from 11PM-12:15AM.
