DESCRIPTION:The Happiest Big Band on Earth had their first show on April 27th\, 2018\, and was born through Matt Grinke’s love of jazz and Disney. Since then\, the Happiest band has continued to morph and shift into many different sounds and sizes\, anywhere from a trio to the full 17-piece big band\, including this quintet! \nGet Tickets\nMatt has also shifted from just a Disney fan to pianist and music director for Disney Cruise Line\, and is more than happy to arrange and perform Disney tunes even when he’s not on contract! For this special performance\, Matt’s quintet will performing a set of Pixar Studio favourites and deep cuts. DESCRIPTION:Considered the finest Jazz Vocal Improviser in Canada by her peers\, her fans and by the musicians who work with her\, Jennifer Scott is an important Jazz Voice. She has sung with such Jazz Greats as: Gene Bertoncini\, Clark Terry\, Tommy Banks\, Paul Horn and Kenny Wheeler to name a few.\nJennifer Scott has performed to sold out crowds from San Diego to Vancouver to Whitehorse on the West Coast of Canada and has begun a major foray onto the world stage including performances in Amsterdam\, Milan and Rome.\nFor this special performance at Hero’s Welcome\, Jennifer will be joined by David Sikula on guitar\, Rene Worst on bass\, and Bernie Arai on drums.\nSundays at Hero’s Welcome (3917 Main Street) is a bi-weekly jazz series presented by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz.
