DESCRIPTION:Betty Davis was one of the most important voices of 1970’s funk….a flamboyant pop diva a full decade before there was such a thing\, with a discography full of sexually aggressive and incredibly funky tunes that weren’t hits\, but should have been. \nShe’s long been an influence on Vancouver based keyboardist\, producer\, and all-around phenom Mary Ancheta\, which has led Mary to this special night at Hero’s Welcome full of Davis’ most loved tunes\, as well as some deep cuts. \nFor this can’t miss show\, Mary’s MAQkestra will feature: \nMary Ancheta – Keys \nDominic Conway – Saxophones \nFeven Kidane – Trumpet \nTristan Paxton – Guitar \nMatt Reid – Bass \nPaul Clark – Drums \nAs well as extremely special guest vocalists: \nDawn Pemberton \nLeo D.E.
