DESCRIPTION:The Gin Mill Ramblers are a dynamic trio playing a lively mix of NOLA-style hot jazz and dirty blues\, with a dash of Django-esque swing\, all designed to delight and entertain listeners while ensuring the dance floor is jumpin’. Expect the most romantic song-buffet of foods\, followed with an aperitif of spirits\, a digestive of the finest BC-grown\, with just a hint of je ne sais quoi. Sample from plates by the most eminent of chefs\, such as: Slim Gaillard\, Bo Carter\, Tampa Red\, Bessie Smith\, Louis Jordan\, and many more.\nMichael Coury: trumpet\, vocals\, banjo\nMatt Lam: piano\, clarinet\nJohannes Grames: guitar\nSpecial Guest:\nMike Braverman: Reeds\, Guitar\nFrankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz. Shows start at 11:00PM and tickets are $10.
