In 2025 he debuted his new François Houle 4et\, featuring Noah Franche-Nolan on piano\, James Meger on bass & Kenton Loewen on drums\, to perform Houle’s new original music for Jazz quartet. \nMontreal-based Bellbird has been thrilling audiences all over Canada for the last three years\, selling out from rooms from coast-to-coast. DESCRIPTION:10 person band playing your favourite Japanese 80’s pop hits! \nGet Tickets\nEver since Mariya Takeuchi’s Plastic Love mysteriously went viral on YouTube in 2017\, funky Japanese pop music from the late 70s and 80s (collectively known as City Pop) has slowly solidified itself as a mainstay of global internet culture. Through the bittersweet yet relentlessly catchy melodies\, slappin’ basslines\, energetic disco beats\, and ample amounts of reverb; listeners vicariously conjure the memories of a nation basking at the height of economic boom\, blissfully unaware of the bright future that will never materialize. \nBrought to you by local jazz-fusion group Chen Baker\, City Pop Nights will attempt to bring you said experience in the flesh.
