SUMMARY:Teighan Couch Trio at Frankie's After Dark
DESCRIPTION:Teighan Couch is a dynamic jazz vocalist and composer based on Vancouver Island\, celebrated for her warm tone\, agile bebop scat and honest\, unvarnished storytelling. She made her mark at the Nanaimo Jazz Festival and was hand-picked this year as a featured artist for the Port Theatre Discovery Series. Her debut album\, It’s Pronounced Cooch\, (released August 22nd 2025) features a vibrant collection that blends the fresh perspective of original compositions and the timeless music of the American Songbook with the driving undercurrents of bebop\, blues and soul. She is honoured to be presenting the music from her album live at Frankie’s After Dark with Jillian Lebeck on piano and Conrad Good on bass. Whether scatting over a burning rhythm section or leaning into heartfelt lyrics\, Teighan’s performances are a force marked by an unshakable authenticity. \nFrankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday & Saturday night at Frankie’s Jazz Club (755 Beatty) at 11PM.
