SUMMARY:Lone Bear at the Painted Ship
DESCRIPTION:Grinningly growling its way out of the darkness\, Lone Bear\, Vancouver’s most playfully mauling instrumental trio\, unleashes its love of heavy grooves\, pretty songs and no-rules improvisation in their first performance at the Painted Ship. Featuring a lineup of LB players (guitarist Jeff Younger\, bassist Karlis Silins\, and drummer Max Ley)\, the band mashes classic hits from The Temptations\, Black Sabbath\, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Beatles through a celestial arrangement funhouse and a free jazz improv blender. There’s a good chance a couple of Younger’s original compositions will make an appearance too.
