DESCRIPTION:MRD3 aka Mad Riddim Dub Trio\, features the engine room (Richard Brown – drums\, Matt Reid – bass and Cuyler Biller – guitar) of popular Vancouver reggae group Mad Riddim.\nForming prior to the pandemic as a way to explore classic reggae albums via a heavy\, minimalist and fully improvised dub aesthetic\, the group continue to evolve\, using their varied musical influences as the foundation for unrelenting grooves and lush soundscapes.If Sly & Robbie met Khruangbin for a spliff at a party in liminal space\, MRD3 would be the band playing.\nMad Riddim features Richard Brown\, Matt Reid\, and Cuyler Biller\nFrankie’s After Dark takes place every Friday and Saturday at Frankie’s Jazz Club in downtown Vancouver and is curated by Tim Reinert of Infidels Jazz.
